I recommend brand spanking NEW keat... ;)

Of course any warranty will be void soon as you drill, but at least you get a brand new compressor charged up with refrigerant and it'll probably last you twice as long as any 2nd hand one even if you pay double.. LOL

yeah, looks like brand new is the way to go. As I've learnt with homebrewing, the more you try to save, the more you end up spending. *sigh*
Maybe Mr Ibrew can share some fridge maintenance tips, since he is upkeeping 15 of them

in my experience, fridges like to be left on 24 x 7....have heard of people reagassing them but these days, by the time you need to do that its probably time to bin it and replace it with a new one.

so when does the new beast arrive Keat ? If it can fit in 6 kegs, are u going to install as many taps :D :D ?

just ordered tonight, coming in on Fri and just in time for a brew over the weekend. I need it to make ice for my wort chilling. BTW, the Goh Sin Huat price is not very competitive...ordered from Parisilk in the end.

already moved it to outside my house. You're free to pick it up if you want, already pre-drilled with 4 holes for the taps :D it's totally non-functional though, major repairs required.

wow, I'm surprised that Parisilk can offer better prices than GSH. Always had the impression that Parisilk = $$$.

was quite surprised too. The price that GSH quoted seems to be lower, but after factoring GST, it is indeed higher.

the Beer Beast (tm) gets delivered tomorrow, I'm not lugging it myself...no way. Have to borrow the drill bit from Mr Ibrew again before I can still drilling. The important thing is that I can make ice for my immersion chiller, or else I can't brew this weekend. Going to work hard at filling all the kegs ;)
